Romain Poncet, widely known by his stage name Traumer, is a pivotal figure in the French electronic music scene. With a flourishing career rooted in clubs and international festivals, he has built a reputation for captivating sets and meticulous productions blending techno, house, and minimal sounds. Yet, behind the frenetic rhythms of the dance floor, another side of his artistic identity has been quietly evolving.

His latest album marks a daring departure: an introspective journey far removed from the raw energy of the clubs. Drawing inspiration from years immersed in music production and influences ranging from ambient to jazz, this project unfolds as a more narrative listening experience.

The genesis of this work is rooted in an intimate and collaborative story. During the COVID lockdown, Poncet, along with his close friends, retreated to the French countryside, where creative sparks began to fly. His friend Alex shared plans to open Datsha, a refined venue merging music and fine dining, and invited Poncet to compose its inaugural soundtrack.

Over two and a half months, locked in the studio, he created nearly 60 tracks, culminating in a deeply personal and artistic collection, venturing into uncharted stylistic territory: jazz-infused trip-hop.
